A spectacular Australian opal, alive with flashes of electric blue, turquoise and green, set against the warmth of 9ct yellow gold in this one-of-a-kind Drift ring.<br><br>
The opal has a wonderful natural pattern, with colours that shift and illuminate as the light catches its surface. Set on a wide, sculptural band, with irregular raised lines inspired by the forms and textures of driftwood. Two delicate rows of 17 tiny blue sapphires are tucked between the gold, picking up the colours of the opal.<br><br>
I've recently started working with a wonderful opal cutter in Australia, whose family owns the mine where these beautiful stones come from. It's lovely to know exactly where the opals come from and to have that direct connection with the people who source and cut them.<br><br>
