Here’s a selection of queries we often get…but you can always contact us directly with your own

HOW DO I ORDER?

• You can either contact us directly- give us a ring during opening times (Tuesday to Saturday 11- 4pm) or email us mirridamer@gmail.com to discuss and arrange an order.

• You can also order directly through the website- if the item is in stock we will send it straight out to you, if not we will email you to let you know when you can expect it.

• Please see the 'Shipping & Returns' Section at the bottom of the website for full details.

What is your returns policy?

• Ultimately we just want our customers to be happy with their jewellery so we are happy to discuss any returns : for full Returns Policy, please see the T&C’s Page.

how long will my jewellery take to arrive?

Delivery time varies depending on the item:

If the product is in stock (please see individual product pages) you should receive it within 2-3 working days within the UK, and 8-10 working days for other countries.

Jewellery that is being made to order will usually take 4 to 6 weeks to make, and for bespoke items and commissions we normally take 8-10 weeks – in both cases you will be contacted as soon as it is ready to send/ for you to collect.

But….we do love a challenge, so if you have left it a bit late and need something sooner than the delivery time stated, or by a specific date, then just email mirridamer@gmail.com and we will see what we can do!

how will my order arrive?

Your order will arrive in a discrete recyclable postage box. The jewellery is packaged in a branded Mirri Damer jewellery box (or paper bag for some items), tied up with a ribbon and protected by tissue paper.

If you would like a personal message to accompany any gift orders, please contact us directly to arrange this.

how do I care for my jewellery?

• Mirri’s jewellery is designed to be worn everyday so it becomes part of you. However, certain activities are prone to causing damage to the metal and stones so it is worth removing jewellery prior to these – key ones include cycling, gardening swimming and gym work outs.

• Clean your jewellery regularly with a soft toothbrush, liquid soap and warm water to avoid any build up of dirt and keep the stones looking their best.

• As with all fine jewellery, stone settings should be checked occasionally. If there are any signs of movement please return the jewellery to Mirri to adjust (alternatively, take to a good local jewellery workshop). Utmost care has been taken to set stones securely but Mirri is not responsible for any loss of stones if this occurs after the warranty period of 12 months.

HOW DO I FIND OUT MY RING SIZE / MY PARTNER'S RING SIZE?

• Please see ‘Size Guide’ page on the website.

• Mirri will do one re-size free of charge for items purchased as a surprise.

• Further re-sizes will incur a charge which will be agreed prior to commencing the work.

can I pay in instalments?

Yes, quite happy for you to pay in instalments for any Mirri Damer piece, or custom/bespoke order. Payment plans can be set up by emailing mirridamer@gmail.com.

Please note, jewellery will not be delivered to you until payment has been made in full.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR GOLD?

Mirri is committed to sourcing all her jewellery materials in an ethical and sustainable manner. The jewellery is made using 100% recycled metals using British suppliers, all based in the UK. Every jewellery piece can also be ordered in FairTrade Gold; please enquire about this as it does affect price. All jewellery will be certified in accordance with the Hallmarking Act 1973.

how about your gemstones?

Mirri deals with the same small selection of reputable diamond suppliers and gemstone dealers that she has used for many years. These are sourced in the most ethical and environmentally responsible manner, adhering to the Kimberley Process.

You can find out more about the different gemstones we use on the ‘About’ page.

DO YOU PROVIDE CERTIFICATES FOR YOUR DIAMONDS?

Mirri does not provide GIA certificates for diamonds. However, if you would specifically like GIA certified diamonds in your jewellery, these can be especially sourced for you. Please keep in mind that a GIA certificate will affect the price of the diamonds used, and therefore the finished piece of jewellery.

is every piece one of a kind?

Each piece of jewellery is handmade in Mirri’s Falmouth studio, so every piece is unique. Due to this, small variations will occur with each piece, resulting in slight differences from photographs you may have seen. Gemstones and metal colours may vary marginally, and there may be small differences in stone size. The uniqueness of each piece is part of the imperfect, organic beauty of the brand.

CAN YOU PERSONALISE AN EXISTING DESIGN FOR ME?

Every piece in the collection can be customised with a preferred type, colour or size of stone and preferred precious metal alloy. Mirri can guide you through the collections and possibilities that can be explored to make one of an existing design more personal to you.

Please email mirridamer@gmail.com to enquire about this.

WHAT METALS DO YOU WORK IN?

All pieces can be made to order in the following metals; 18ct gold, 9ct gold, platinum and silver. Every piece can also be made in white gold or rose gold. For prices in alternative metals, please enquire.

how about commissions?

See the ‘Commissions’ page for further details but yes, Mirri loves this kind of work – if you’re looking for something completely unique, but still retaining Mirri’s aesthetic, please contact us by email with your thoughts and we will get back to you.

CAN YOU REUSE MY HEIRLOOM DIAMONDS & GOLD IN A NEW PIECE?

In most cases, yes. Mirri specialises in reworking heirloom jewellery to create a new piece of jewellery for you within her own aesthetic. As each piece of heirloom jewellery is unique, please email to discuss the pieces you have, and how you would like them reworked.

Even better, make an appointment to see Mirri in person to discuss your requirements.

Please see the ‘Commissions’ page for further details.

I AM A LONG WAY AWAY FROM CORNWALL, HOW DO I COMMISSION REMOTELY?

Mirri is more than happy to discuss a commission by phone, email, facetime, whatever you prefer - she will be able to talk you through the process so you feel confident ordering.

CAN I HAVE MY JEWELLERY ENGRAVED?

We don’t do our own engraving but we can get this done for you. Please email to discuss your engraving needs and we will contact you with finer details including font options and pricing.

DO YOU OFFER A WARRANTY ON YOUR JEWELLERY?

Every piece made by Mirri is designed to be worn and loved every day, but as with all fine jewellery, it should be treated with care. Mirri provides a one-year warranty on all pieces of jewellery from the date of purchase, provided it has not been worked on by another jeweller or if the damage goes beyond accepted patterns of wear. Beyond the warranty period, Mirri will quote for any necessary repairs on a case by case basis.

Read the full care guide here.

DO YOU PROVIDE A VALUATION FOR MY INSURANCE?

If we have provided all the gemstones and materials, the valuation will be as stated on your invoice.

If, however, Mirri has repurposed any materials provided by the customer one would need to go to a company that is registered with the IRV (Institute of Registered Valuers) and/or the Association of Independent Jewellery Valuers to get a valuation

Do YOU OFFER REPAIRS/ A RECONDITIONING SERVICE?

We are always happy to repair pieces made by Mirri. We assess repairs on a case-by-case basis, so please get in touch with us by email for more information. We are committed to making our customers happy so please contact us as soon as possible if you do experience any issues with your jewellery.

Although our jewels are designed to change with wear, moulding and adapting to the wearer’s lifestyle and habits through the years, we are happy to recondition items and return their original finish and lustre. Textured surfaces on the precious metal are superficial, gentle matte finishes will smooth out with wear.

Please contact the studio if you’d like to bring the jewel’s original finish back to the surface.
